Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

This page explains how to cancel, when you can expect money back, and how we pay it. It applies to fees paid to TechieFrogs for our training programmes.

Your specific commercial terms — any notice period, and how much is refundable at each stage — are set out in the enrolment agreement you sign before you pay. Those terms and this page come from the same source, so they cannot disagree.

1. Before you pay

Ask for the enrolment agreement and read the fee clause. We will send it before you pay, not after, and nobody at TechieFrogs will ask you to pay on a call without seeing it first.

If anything in it is unclear, ask. A fee you did not understand is not a fee we want.

2. Cancelling

Email us at the address in section 7 with your name, your programme and your registered phone number. A cancellation takes effect from the date we receive that email, not the date you stop attending.

We will not charge you a cancellation fee in a situation where we would not bear a comparable cost ourselves if we cancelled on you. That is a requirement of Rule 4(8) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and we mention it so you can hold us to it.

3. What is refundable

How much comes back depends on when you cancel and how much of the programme has been delivered. Your enrolment agreement sets that out, and the same terms are published below.

Two things are worth saying plainly because they are the common misunderstandings. First: a refund is about training we have not delivered. It is not linked to whether you find a job — we provide placement assistance and we do not guarantee employment, so there is no outcome for a refund to be conditional on. Second: work you have already had marked, mentor time already spent and classes already attended are delivered services.

4. When we refund regardless of the above

If the service is deficient, or not what we described, you are entitled to a refund and we will not argue about the notice period. That is Rule 7(4) of the E-Commerce Rules, and section 2(47)(viii) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 sets 30 days as the outer limit for paying it.

Concretely: if we cancel a cohort, fail to provide the mentor or classes the programme describes, or the platform is unavailable for a sustained period, that is on us.

5. How a refund is paid

To the original payment method. If you paid by card, it goes back to that card; by UPI, back to that account. This is not a preference — the RBI's Payment Aggregator Directions, 2025 require refunds to return to the original method unless you specifically ask us in writing to use another account belonging to you.

We cannot refund to a different person's account.

Any GST charged on the amount refunded is adjusted through a credit note. Because the law closes the window for issuing one at the end of November following the financial year of the original payment, a refund agreed long after that date may not be able to include the tax component.

6. Instalments and EMI

If you are paying in instalments directly to us, cancelling stops future instalments from the effective date. Instalments already due and unpaid at that date remain payable for the training delivered up to it.

If you are paying through a third-party lender or an EMI facility, the loan is a separate agreement between you and that lender. Cancelling with us does not cancel the loan. We will tell the lender what we have refunded, but you must contact them about the loan itself, and any interest or processing fee they have charged is a matter between you and them. Ask about this before you sign a loan, not after.

7. How to ask, and how long we take

Email admissions@techiefrogs.com with the subject line “Cancellation request”. Include your name, programme and registered phone number.

We will acknowledge within 48 hours and tell you what we have decided and why. Where a refund is due, we will tell you the amount, the method and when to expect it, and we will give you a reference you can quote.

Sponsored and corporate enrolments work differently: where an employer or institution paid, the refund goes to them and the commercial terms are in their agreement with us, not this page.

8. If you disagree with our decision

Escalate to our Grievance Officer, whose name and contact details are published at the end of our Privacy Policy. They will acknowledge within 48 hours and respond within one month.

If you are still not satisfied, you can take the matter to a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Nothing on this page limits that right.

9. Delivery of services

Nothing is shipped. Everything we sell is delivered online, in the learning portal, and access begins on the start date confirmed in your enrolment agreement. There are no delivery charges and no physical returns.

Your terms

The amounts and notice periods that apply to you are set out in the enrolment agreement for your programme. We will send it to you before you pay. If you have not been given one, ask us for it at admissions@techiefrogs.com before paying anything.
